A Jackson family has spent the last few days searching for Ava, an 18-month-old German shepherd that's been missing since Wednesday.

Kayla Reale says Ava disappeared sometime Wednesday evening. They've spent time searching but haven't been able to locate her.

Reale says Ava is mostly all black with brown legs and paws. The family has mainly searched for her in the Jackson area where she was last seen. Reale said anyone who spots Ava should avoid approaching or calling out to her and instead contact local police immediately.

"My family and I just want her back so bad," Reale told NJ 101.5.

Anyone who spots Ava or has information on her whereabouts should contact Joe Reale at 732-757-1995.
