Ground Zero Flag Will be in Bayville Today

A very special flag is coming to Berkeley Township, Veteran's Park for only a short time.

The flag that will be at Veterans Park is a flag from one of the World Trade Centers lobby along with a cross from the lobby, according to the patch.com. This flag has flown over numerous places in these last 17 years from the Pentagon to greeting troops and first responders and where Saddam Hussein was hiding. This flag represents our freedom and we can never forget the lives that were lost on that horrible day of September 11th in the terrorist attacks.

The Ground Zero Flag will be at Veterans Park on the Memorial Stage beginning at 9 am THIS MORNING before it heads to Barnegat. Each place the flag visits, the flag must be flown for at least 9 minutes and 11 seconds. It will be at Veteran's for about an hour and a half.
