The report from the U.S. Health and Human Services Department’s inspector general is being released Thursday. It examines services provided in group homes, supervised apartments and family care homes.

The report found that 64 of the 100 random claims sampled did not comply with standards, and 24 had more than one deficiency.

The New Jersey Department of Human Services agrees with some of the findings but questions the accuracy of others.

The report also recommends the state provide guidance to providers and improve its monitoring of claims.
