We all love Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, especially during the summertime when the park is packed with excitement, the smell of funnel cake is in the air, and those coaster screams instantly put you in a good mood.

Spring & Summer Days at Six Flags Great Adventure

One of the best things about Great Adventure is the amazing roller coaster lineup. Here’s the full list of coasters that make this park such a thrill-lover’s dream.

The Full Great Adventure Coaster Lineup

  1. Runaway Mine Train
  2. Harley Quinn Crazy Train
  3. The Dark Knight Coaster
  4. Skull Mountain
  5. The Joker
  6. Batman: The Ride
  7. THE FLASH: Vertical Velocity
  8. Superman: Ultimate Flight
  9. Jersey Devil Coaster

Every single one brings something different. Some are wild, some are classic, some flip you upside down, and some just give you that smooth flying feeling.

The Smoothest Roller Coaster in the Park

But for me, Nitro is still the best.

Nitro is by far the smoothest roller coaster at Great Adventure, and that’s exactly why I love it so much. That first climb up feels like forever, and then the drop hits and it’s pure adrenaline.

What makes it stand out is how fast and smooth it feels at the same time. You get those huge hills, amazing airtime, and that floating feeling that makes you feel like you’re flying across the park.

I can ride Nitro over and over and never get tired of it.

Sure, El Toro is intense, Jersey Devil is crazy fun, and Medusa is a classic, but Nitro always gives me the perfect summer coaster ride.

For me, it’s the smoothest, most fun roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure.

Six Flags Great Adventure is open for spring break. (Friday, April 3rd, 2026 - Sunday, April 12th, 2026 and weekends leading up to the summer season.)
