As you may know by now, we're in Election season and along with that, Early In-Person Voting begins on Saturday October 29 and for 9 days you can go and cast your ballot prior to the General Election on November 8.

The scope of it is that you can only go in-person to vote, there is no dropping off of ballots at these locations.

You can opt for mail-in as well, but only mail-in if you go that route.

With Early Voting as well, there are less physical locations -- ten across the 33 municipalities --- and slightly shorter time periods to get over to a location and vote -- 10:00 am until 8:00 pm except on Sunday's which will close at 6:00 pm.

Still though, whether you choose to vote early or on Election Day itself November 8, there are multiple options.

In Ocean County, sample ballots from the Ocean County Clerk's Office are en route to your house and information about what to do, where to go, and when to go are coming your way as well over the next week.

“Voters now have a number of choices on ways to cast their ballot,” Ocean County Commissioner Gary Quinn, liaison to the Ocean County Clerk’s Office, said in a written statement. “There is plenty of information available on the how and where for casting your vote for the Nov. 8 General Election.”

“The website and also the sample ballots contain the information voters need to determine the best and most convenient way for them to cast a ballot,” Ocean County Clerk Scott Colabella said in a written statement. “Ocean County voters still like to vote the traditional way by heading to the polls on Election Day to cast a ballot. Other voters are seeing the convenience in mail-in ballots and early voting."

Clerk Colabella said that you have until November 1 to submit your mail ballot applications.

Commissioner Quinn said that there are 20 secure vote-by-mail ballot drop off boxes across the County as well, which need to be submitted by the same time all polls close on November 8 and that is at the stroke of 8:00 pm.

“Most of these boxes are located on Ocean County Library branch properties, so they have security cameras in the area and are frequented by security,” Quinn said. “It’s important our voters know their votes are secure and count.”
