A stabbing victim survives a morning attack in his own garage in Chesterfield. Police seek your help in tracking the suspect.

According to authorities, the victim brought his children to a bus stop and returned to his home on Galestown Road at about 8:30 AM. He told police that he was confronted in his garage and stabbed in the abdomen.

The assailant ran in an undetermined direction, police said. Investigators from the township as well as Bordentown and Pemberton, including three K-9 teams, combed the area.

He's described as white or Hispanic, bearded, and about 5'10" and 160 pounds, last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

The victim is in stable condition with a non-life-threatening wound at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, police said.
