There are so many Christmas movies and we all have our favorites. There are those that are in black and white that date back nearly one hundred years ago, Like Babes in Toyland, A Christmas Carole, Miracle on 34th Street and It's a Wonderful Life. There are also Christmas movies that came out in the last few years.

It's hard to believe that movies my kids grew up on like "Home Alone" and "Christmas Vacation" are over 30 years old!

So recently a survey was done by Preply and through researching search trends, they came up with each state's favorite Christmas movie. But first, before we get to New Jersey's favorite, let's look at some national trends, according to Preply, that were discovered in this survey...

Broken down regionally:

  • The West (Nightmare Before Christmas)
  • The Midwest (Elf)
  • The South (Polar Express)
  • The Northeast (Home Alone)

America's favorite holiday movies are:

  1. Home Alone
  2. The Grinch (2018)
  3. Elf
  4. Edward Scissorhands
  5. Happiest Season

Looking at the results by state:

  • Elf was the most popular in ten states followed by The Polar Express which was the most popular in nine states.

Now as far as us here in the Garden State, what is our favorite Christmas movie? Let me first say I have not seen this movie but I will this week. I'm a fan of Emilia Clarke from her "Game of Thrones" days and she stars in this one...it's "Last Christmas". This is New Jerse3y's favorite Christmas movie...do YOU agree?
