Matthew Kaminsky, 51, was sentenced today for his guilty plea to one count of receiving child pornography, according to the office of Acting New Jersey U.S. Attorney William E. Fitzpatrick. Once he has earned parole, he's required to serve five years of supervised release.

Investigators contended that Kaminsky met and engaged various teen girls in online chats, and sent to them images of himself in the buff. They focused on several days in January 2015, during which Kaminsky allegedly corresponded with a 13-year-old girl, and coaxed her into sending him nude images of herself.

In March 2015, investigators seized Kaminsky's computer equipment, and said that it contained images and videos consistent with child sexual abuse. They subsequently contacted the 13-year-old, who confirmed the encounters, authorities said.

The probe entailed resources of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Assistant U.S. Attorney Molly S. Lorber conducted the government's case. Kaminsky retained Assistant Federal Public Defender Brian Reilly.
