Based on the supportive comments people posted in response to my blog about directional signals, I'm going to say a little more about the topic.

First, I'll start with an apology.  I didn't mean to single out New Jersey drivers.  I was just referencing my weekend trip on the Turnpike where I kept noticing the wreckless driving.  As listeners and Facebook friends pointed out, there are people EVERYWHERE who don't use their blinkers.  And it seems to aggravate a lot of us!  The sense is that people who change lanes without signaling are inconsiderate or think they're above the law.  Is that true?  I'd really like to understand WHY people don't use their indicators.  I was disappointed yesterday that nobody wrote their reasons.

Non-signallers, please, help us to understand.  Is it the clicking noise?  Is it a hassle?  Do you just forget?

I  hope that today we'll see some comments from folks who can help us see their side of the story.  In the meantime, to keep things light and fun, here is wording of some bumper stickers that I found online:  "No need to use your turn signal.  Like other drivers, I'm psychic" and "I see you're low on turn signal fluid."

Have a great day on the roads, everyone!
