Don’t Pass This One By! A Delicious Little Winner in Forked River, NJ
I haven't been to many restaurants since the pandemic, so last week I decided to go to one of my favorites, especially for breakfast. This is totally my opinion.
We love the Forked River Diner. It's one of the few places in Ocean County that actually have my favorite, creamed dried beef. Cream dried beef is one of the foods that take me right back to my childhood. When I was younger and living in Pennsylvania, every restaurant had creamed dried beef and we even ate it for dinner.
Driving Rt. 9 in Forked River in Lacey Township, Forked River you might drive by this little place and wonder, "What is that place?" My husband and I love trying out new breakfast places. I have driven by this one over and over again and I can't believe I drove by so many times and never went in.
This adorable trailer-looking diner, very tiny - was lovely inside and exactly what I would want a diner to look like when I walk in. Like I wrote about earlier, I didn't even realize it was even open. It's teal and silver with teal booths inside. Because of Covid-19, there are clear dividers between the booths, I felt very safe in there.
Forked River Diner, a friendly, family-owned diner. Such a lovely owner with the sweetest voice (she'll get a kick out of that), and so much more.
Every time we eat there, I'm pleasantly surprised with this little place along Rt. 9 in Forked River, just a bit south of the Forked River Marina.
