We're lucky to have plenty of designer donut shops at the Shore. But what about designer cookies?

Manalapan's own Darrell and Karen Doucette wanted to get in the cookie business. The couple joked with the Asbury Park Press saying

Our research was not the worst research in the world: We traveled around near our house and ate a bunch of cookies.

They realized that they couldn't find a local cookie that was better than a cookie that Darrell discovered when traveling for work.

Crumbl cookies.

The Crumbl empire started back in 2017. They have more than 200 bakeries across the U.S. What makes Crumbl unique is that their kitchen is open for all to see. From the crack of the first egg to the finishing touches on the latest masterpiece, customers watch it all.

While Crumbl always has the tried and true favorites, they invent a new cookie every single week. Not a bad business plan, huh? Got those of us with a sweet tooth hooked, and keep us coming back weekly.

Get ready for the very first Crumbl in New Jersey. Darell and Karen are bringing the cookie bakery to Seaview Square Mall in Ocean Township. They will be located next to Applebees.

Word on the street is that the dynamic duo is aiming for an early December grand opening.

Oh, and get your milk ready Manalapan. The Doucettes say you're next as they grow the Crumbl brand in New Jersey.
