First, we must highlight Denise Whalen. She was a former manager at Breakwater Beach who we lost to the battle of cancer. Denise was a tremendous worker and she was loved by the entire staff at Breakwater Beach. The 17th annual Crab Race on Saturday, August 28th will be honoring Denise!
In addition, the race will benefit the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center!

The 17th annual Crab Race will be at Breakwater Beach Waterpark on Saturday, August 28th. To participate in the race, guests must purchase a $5 plastic crab from the admission booth or online at casinopiernj.com. All the money raised from the crab sales will benefit the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Each donation entitles the participant to a chance to win over 100 prizes, including store gift cards, amusement park passes, and restaurant gift cards.
Crabs can be purchased until Noon on racing day. At 5 pm, the crabs will be released down Patriot's Plunge into the Revolutionary River. The winning crab gets $100 and 10 All-Day Passes to Breakwater Beach for the 2022 season. The waterpark is located at 62 Grant Avenue in Seaside Heights.
