If you are into cool places that are sort of hidden then you may love this cocktail bar that was named to a list of the best in America. You will actually need to search this establishment out because it's tucked away to keep it a "special" destination.

This story is not about "hidden gems" it is about the best cocktail bar in New Jersey. Cocktail bars with character and delicious drinks. Lovefood did this article to highlight America's best saloons. "Cocktails are becoming more and more sophisticated and elaborate – and so are the places that serve them. Whether you're craving a classic, looking for something innovative, or want to sip on retro drinks in a fun, colorful setting, there are some great cocktail bars across the US. We've selected the best in each state, based on customer reviews, awards, and the overall quality of mixology, ingredients, and atmosphere." So let's peek into the pick for the Garden State, but remember it may be a bit difficult to find.

We head to Hudson Couty for this "speakeasy" and we will try and find it so you can check it out this summer. Seems like a throwback to the days of prohibition, where drinking establishments were hidden to stay out of the sight of the government. According to Lovefood the Junto Attic Bar in Jersey City is the best cocktail bar in the state. "Another hidden cocktail bar, The Junto Attic Bar above the Franklin Social tavern has no signage, but it doesn’t really matter because word of mouth is enough. Inside, it’s calm, quiet, and lit by the glow of the amazing stained-glass windows. Seasonal cocktails, like the refreshing and minty Cool For The Summer, are simply stunning. The dealer’s choice is great for indecisive drinkers."

What Are the Signature Drinks From Every State?

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
