Brick homeowner foils robbery attempt
A Brick homeowner led the effort to foil a robbery on Wilson Court Thursday afternoon when a man wearing a ski mask and armed with a handgun ended up running off.
The suspect first tried entering the home and Brick Police say that's when the homeowner reported that upon confronting the man, he ran off to a waiting vehicle and entered it as the passenger.
The homeowner was able to provide a detailed description of the vehicle to police.
A police investigation revealed that the suspects were attempting to rob a 16-year old male that was leaving the residence.
The suspect vehicle was located, unoccupied, at a residence in Point Pleasant Borough.

Both are currently being held in the Ocean County Jail.
