A great local event, the Chili Cook Off at JBJ Soul Kitchen in Toms River, was made even better with a visit from Jon Bon Jovi.

Hundreds braved a rainy and windy Saturday to take part in the Chili Cook Off, which featured incredible entrees from local police, fire and EMT, and I'm not exaggerating when I say each one was completely different and completely delicious.

When Jon arrived, the rain seemed to stop right on cue, and much to the delight of the crowd, he jumped on the PA system of one of the fire trucks and greeted the crowd.

Thanks to everyone who helped to make this event such a huge success, and please remember to visit the JBJ Soul Kitchen often. It's a great concept, a great cause and a great way to help our neighbors.
