According to the Star Ledger, Birdsall Services Group, charged with money laundering and conspiracy last month, signed a Letter of Intent Thursday with Bowman Consulting. Bowman is seeking to buy the company's assets to establish itself in New Jersey.

"As we move through a sale, there should be a seamless transition from Birdsall to a new company with our employees continuing to perform the work and continuing to service our clients," Stier told the Star Ledger.

The company earlier in April furloughed 300 employees to allow them to collect unemployment.
