Bicyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run in Lakewood

A bicyclist was seriously injured Monday night in Lakewood after police said the woman was struck by a hit-and-run driver around 10 p.m. on County Line Road, near Somerset Avenue.

The unidentified woman suffered a severe head injury and was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, according to the Lakewood Scoop.

Authorities do not have a description of the vehicle at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
