Auntie Anne’s Pretzels Puts an Interesting Twist on Beer in New Jersey
Reading this will make you thirsty...and hungry.
How many times have you done this? You're shopping at the Ocean County Mall when you have a craving for a buttery, salty, Auntie Anne's pretzel. It's the ultimate feeling of nostalgia for me, and many people.
Auntie Anne's was actually founded not too far away from New Jersey in Lancaster, PA. And it seems like they're embracing those roots by partnering with a Philly brewery, Evil Genius Beer, to combine their iconic pretzels with a new beer.
Before I get into where you can find the beer, I just have to note how awesome the beer name is:
Yes. The beer is literally called Is Butter a Carb? in homage to the iconic movie Mean Girls. Beer-loving millennials everywhere (myself included) are going nuts over this. I looked at Evil Genius' website and all of their beers have cheeky names like There's No Crying in Baseball, #Adulting, #ICantEven, and New Phone Who Dis? to name a few.
Where can you buy Auntie Anne's and Evil Genius Brewery's Is Butter a Carb Beer?
Okay, let's get to the good stuff. If you're dying to try Is Butter a Carb? there are plenty of places you'll be able to find it in Ocean County. The location finder on Auntie Anne's website showed that multiple liquor stores in Pt. Pleasant, Waretown, Manchester, Forked River, Brick, Seaside Heights, and more are all carrying the beer.
