Asbury Park Police seize 5 guns, arrest 7 people all in a days work
Earlier on Friday Asbury Park Police announced three arrests and the seizure of three guns on Thursday morning and afternoon respectively.
On Friday evening, Asbury Park Police announced four more arrests and two more guns seized.
All the guns were seized and arrests made on Thursday from morning to evening as city police continue sweeping the streets of weapons.

The last of the three arrests made on Thursday took place around 5:11 pm starting out in the 600 block of Pine Street.
Police were continuing a shooting investigation that began last Saturday and on Thursday Samir Rivera, 18, Trenton, and Daequan Foster, 19, Asbury Park, were arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
While on Pine Street police said that they saw Foster discarding an additional firearm, a Smith & Wesson Military & Police Shield 40 caliber Shield.
Nyzir Ivory, 19, Asbury Park, was also arrested and he was charged with Possession of a Weapon and Hollow Point Ammunition (Handgun-Ruger 40 caliber loaded with six rounds of hollow point ammunition), Receiving Stolen Property and approximately one-half pound of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) Marijuana and Oxycodone pills.
Then a fourth man was arrested during the Thursday evening investigation, Daryl Pelzer, 34, Wall on a Robbery warrant out of Ocean Township.
Asbury Park Police said that a National Crime Information Center trace of the Ruger handgun alerted them to the fact that it was a stolen law enforcement firearm out of Georgia.
Police also seized a vehicle during the investigation, and are awaiting a search warrant.
All four men arrested Thursday evening were transported to the Asbury Park Police Department for processing.
Rivera, Foster and Ivory were then brought to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Pelzer was turned over to the Ocean Township Police.
