When satirical website "The Onion" started years ago, some people fell for their stories, thinking that they were real. After their success, plenty of online entrepreneurs have tried to do the same, with mixed results.

Lately, though, there have been a number of instances where "satire" was taken seriously and mutated into something bigger.

The biggest problem - it didn't seem that far fetched, and the story went viral, with concerned parents calling up local authorities and media outlets to try to confirm the news.

Today, a story is going around that Disney will create their first same-sex love story, with an animated film about two princes who fall in love and get married.

The only problem - it's not true. But, let's be honest, it's 2014, the story isn't really that unbelievable. So the link and story has started making the rounds of social media, with people reacting on both sides of the spectrum.

So what do you think, have too many sites popped up trying to emulate "The Onion" that people are taking too seriously? Have you fallen for any of those fake stories?
