determined to have a blood alcohol level of .21 or three times the legal limit when she struck a utility pole near the intersection of Water Street and Hooper Avenue Tuesday night.

According to the police report, she was traveling east on Water Street in her 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe at around 5:49 p.m. when she left the roadway to the right and went over a curb, through a utility pole and crashed into a pontoon boat that was being stored adjacent to the roadway. However, she was not injured in the crash.

Ventura was placed under arrest at the scene and charged with Driving Under the Influence.

Water Street remained closed overnight in both directions as utility crews replace the pole and wires that earlier took out electricity to up to 1,500 JCP&L customers.There are sporadic power outages reported in the downtown section of the township.
