At this point we obviously don't have to explain the fact that so many things in every day life have been different and will be different for a while.

In the nearly two decades that American Idol has been on the air, we've gotten used to the cattle call auditions where people cram into arenas for the chance to sing in front of the judges.

Obviously, in this day and age, that can't happen right now.

But the folks behind American Idol are charging ahead with the iconic musical talent show and are in the process of holding virtual auditions for aspiring superstars.

Idol started holding auditions via Zoom a little over a week ago, hitting more than a dozen states already with the "Idol Across America" virtual tour.

They're bringing New Jersey into the fold in a little over a week, on Sunday, August 30th.

If you think that you have what to become the next music superstar and American Idol icon, you'll want to get in on the New Jersey portion of the "Idol Across America" virtual tour as soon as you can, there are already a number of states that have filled up.

Just click here to head over to American Idol's official audition registration page.

When you get there, click on New Jersey (obviously) and get yourself a time slot to audition live for the Idol producers.

You can check out all of the nitty gritty details over at the offical "Idol Across America" virtual audition process by clicking here for their full FAQ page.

Good luck, New Jersey idols, we'll be rooting for you!
