Alert caller phones Lakehurst Police about drug activity
"See Something, Say Something" leads to the arrest of two Jackson women and a Brick man in Lakehurst.
Police received a call on May 30 around 6:43 pm about a suspicious vehicle parked in the back of Lake Horicon and what appeared to be a possible drug deal taking place.
Police responded and found one of the women under the influence of CDS.
An investigation that developed probable cause led to a search of the car which was a prelude to the discovery of an undisclosed quantity of Alprazolam and Clonazepam pills, CDS, a hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia.
All three in the car are facing drug related charges.
Bria R. Krohn, 23, and Courtney R. Reis, 28, of Jackson and Kyle J. Sherwood, 30, Brick were placed under arrest and transported to Lakehurst Police Headquarters for processing.
Krohn was charged with Being Under the Influence of CDS and Drug Paraphernalia.
Reis was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle.
Krohn and Reis were issued summonses and released pending a mandatory court appearance with the Lakehurst Municipal Court and the Ocean County Superior Court.
Sherwood was charged with two counts of Possession of CDS and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle.
He was also issued a warrant for the charges and transported to the Ocean County Jail where he was lodged pending a mandatory court appearance with the Ocean County Superior Court.
The public is reminded that all criminal charges are merely accusations and all subjects are innocent until proven guilty.
