Help this family out. Jenny Azzarello is a mother of 3 young children, a wife, a photographer, and an amazing teacher in the Toms River School District.

In December Jenny was driving and had a seizure while 7 months pregnant. She totaled her car, but thankfully she walked away relatively unscathed. The news was not great though because a few tests later, a large mass was found on her brain.

After some more testing, it was determined that she should deliver her baby boy early so she could have brain surgery to remove the mass. While her son was delivered happy and healthy, the good news was again short-lived.

Just a week after giving birth, the mass in her brain was removed.  While the procedure was successful, the results of the pathology report determined that she had Stage 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Jenny now has to undergo chemotherapy and radiation 5 days a week to fight this deadly tumor.

Jenny's husband Joe, also a teacher, has also been out of work taking care of his wife and their 3 young children while their medical bills are piling up.

This Toms River family could use your help right now.

There is also a special Spaghetti Dinner being organized in Joe's school district taking place on Sunday, April 26th at the Colonia Fire House in Colonia. All proceeds will go to help the family with medical expenses. They are seeking donations in the form of gift baskets. If you or your business are interested in donating, please call Councilwoman Debbie Meehan at 732-382-0273. CLICK HERE for more information.
