Anybody who's driven past Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst has surely taken note of the majestic Navy Blue Angel standing sentry duty outside of the base. But you may have noticed recently that it's missing from its normal spot.

It is, however, getting a new place of honor - the jet will be refurbished and displayed at the Lakehurst Historical Society Museum. In its place, an icon of American air superiority will be displayed - an F-18 Hornet will take the place of honor outside Joint Base MDL.
