People who aren't from the area automatically assume that Staten Island is in the Garden State, which annoys both New Jerseyans and Staten Islanders.  There's clearly a difference, people!

You're probably wondering what triggered such a thought in the first place.

Kim Kardashian called Staten Island amazing on Live with Kelly and Ryan.

When Kim was asked about going to Staten Island with Pete Davidson on Live with Kelly and Ryan, she called it "an amazing place."  Which prompted laughter from the audience.

Absolutely no hate for Staten Island - there are some great things about it!  But every place has its downfalls.  And one can argue amazing is not the best term to describe it.

Anyway, I'm taking a stand in the Staten Island vs New Jersey rivalry, and of course, I'm joining you on Team Jersey.  Specifically, Team Ocean County.

Having lived in both places, it's certain there are a few things that make us more amazing than our neighbors to the north.  We have to acknowledge our better beaches, less traffic, better cost of living...what's not to love?

Hey, maybe if Kim Kardashian gets a hold of this list, she'll convince Pete Davidson to bring her to Ocean County for a date.  Could you imagine spotting them at Great Adventure, or at Spicy Cantina in Seaside Heights?
