3 Roads in New Jersey are the Most Haunted in the Northeast
Halloween is next month and usually it's all about the haunted houses, haunted mazes, and haunted hayrides, but what about a haunted road?
We have three of the most haunted roads in the Northeast right here in New Jersey.
#1 - On top of the list thanks to magazine.aaa.northeast.com, is in West Milford, NJ. The road is Clinton Road. Creepy, a boy is rumored to haunt this road. A child died on a bridge along the street known as Dead Man's Curve, according to urban legend.
Clinton Road also is home to a number of eerie landmarks, along with something called the Jungle Habitat, a safari themed tourist attraction. The park closed in the 1970's and drivers of the road claim seeing strange animals in the forest.
#2 - It's a road named Riverview Drive in Totowa, NJ comes in second. It's also known as Annie's Road. According to magazine.aaa.northeast.com, the legend that dates back more than 50 years ago. A girl named Annie and her boyfriend were coming home from prom, they got in an argument, she was pushed out of the car and and a truck hit Annie and died. How horrible? Local drivers say they've seen her ghost and hear her screams on Riverview Drive or Annie's Road.
#3 - A road called Shades of Death in Warren County, NJ comes in third. There are several different stories that make this road one of the most haunted in the Northeast. This road runs along the woods with a state forest on one side of the road and a lake called Ghost lake.
