2 New Jersey Towns Named Best Christmas Towns In America🎄
Best Christmas Towns in America
We hope that you are getting ready for the holidays, and we wish you a Merry Christmas. As the song says, it is "the most wonderful time of the year." This holiday article focuses on a new list of the BEST "Christmas towns" in America and right here in New Jersey.
In a recent Patch story, they cited information from Travel + Leisure. The story listed their top 25 Christmas towns in America and 2 towns on that list are from right here in New Jersey.
Patch says, "If you're looking for a place close to home to get into the holiday spirit, two New Jersey cities are among the best Christmas towns in the United States." In addition, "The writers at Travel + Leisure released a list last week highlighting the 25 most charming towns to visit during the holidays. From Maine to California, the list includes cities from all corners of America."
The two towns named the BEST in New Jersey are both from "South Jersey". Cape May and Atlantic City are the two that made the list of Top 25 in America from Travel + Leisure.
Cape May is a beautiful town and it shines even brighter during the holidays and at Christmas time. According to the article, "This Jersey Shore town has a strong Victorian streak easily identified by its quaint architecture, and the holiday season pushes it a little further on the Dickensian scale." If you have not visited Cape May at the holidays try to head down this year. Additionally, the writers said "Walk the Washington Street Mall to admire garlands and festive lights as you shop. While you're there, drop by The Original Fudge Kitchen, which offers great fudge and saltwater taffy gift boxes. Book a stay at Congress Hall, especially if you have kids. The hotel typically turns its Grand Lawn into a seaside winter wonderland complete with festive activities."
The second town selected is Atlantic City. According to writers, "A casino and boardwalk don't exactly conjure images of plum puddings and carolers, but there's plenty to appreciate in Atlantic City's wild weekend spirit and vivid people-watching around the holidays." They noted additionally, "Festivities include the annual tree lighting at The Quarter at Tropicana shopping center and the holiday market at the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University."
