11 Reasons They Say Prove New Jersey Isn't So Bad After All

This article that I found from James Clendenin for Crazy Nomad seems to try and paint New Jersey as a not-so-bad place, which almost seems like a put down, but at the same time feels like tongue-in-cheek humor. I'm still trying to figure the angle out, but wanted to share the list of 11 things that make us tolerable here in New Jersey lol

I have lived in New Jersey my whole life, and yes, there are some things that make us cringe, but every state has some reasons to shake your head. Over all I don't think it's a bad place to live at all. We became the butt of jokes from the late night talk show hacks and people began believing what these people said.

The article from Crazy Nomad starts out this way: "New Jersey doesn’t have the best reputation. Outsiders love to mock its traffic, industrial skylines, and, of course, its association with reality TV. But those who actually know the state understand that it’s far more than what’s shown in movies and memes."

11 Reasons Why New Jersey Doesn't Suck lol

11. The people are tough, but they’re some of the most genuine you’ll meet.

10. The transportation system makes getting around shockingly easy.

9. It has a deep sports culture that rivals bigger states.

8. It’s one of the most diverse states in the country.

7. The small towns feel straight out of a movie.

6. The state parks and nature reserves are stunning.

5. Princeton is one of the most charming college towns in America.

4. You can be in the mountains, on the beach, and in a major city—all in one day.

3. The music history is legendary.

2. The food scene is on another level.

1. The beaches are some of the best on the East Coast.

So yes, this may be a silly topic but I wanted to look at this and see what people who live in Jersey think. Did this article make you laugh? Did it make you mad? Did it make you wanna flip the piece the "bird"? lol Share your thoughts :)

By the way, #10, I don't agree that we need better transportation, just saying.
