Governor Chris Christie has given the state's owners a week to come up with a new deal to save the industry now that a private investor has pulled out of an agreement to lease Monmouth Park racetrack.

TOMS RIVER - Toms River Police continue to search for a van stolen from a cemetary over the weekend. Authorities say the vehicle parked at the Saint Mary Of The Lake Cemetary contained grass carpets, burial setup kits, chairs, tents and a casket lowering device totaling $6000. Anyone with information should call 732-349-0150.

SOUTH TOMS RIVER - The drug war in Ocean County snags two South Toms River men. Investigators say 20-year-old Jonathan Lopez eluded local police trying to conduct a road stop of his car Saturday, then led them on a foot chase. Lopes faces nine counts including possession of cocaine, marijuana, a weapon and hollow-point bullets. Twenty-three-year-old Marcus Samuels faces weapons counts. Both are in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.

BELMAR - If you normally drive Belmar Boulevard in wall township to the Shark River Bridge, you're detouring until next May. Bridge reconstruction keeps it closed between Route 35 and Marconi Road. Traffic is moving along Route 138 in the meantime.

NEWARK - The former head of New Jersey-based worldwide financial resources will spend 24 months in prison for bankruptcy fraud. 46 year old David Findel of Monmouth County was sentenced Monday in accord with his guilty plea for hiding almost $200,000 in assets in a Chapter 7filing almost a year ago. He had been given 63 months for an $11million fake loan scheme in 2007.

LONG BEACH ISLAND - No longer in the red. The Surflight Theater on Long Beach Island is no longer in bankruptcy. The theater, which has been in business since 1950, was about $4million in debt. They are now making payments to their pre-bankruptcy creditors.
