You Won't Believe What Was Found On The Beach Here In New Jersey

When we hear about beach sweeps happening anywhere in America, we often hear about the strange items discovered on the beaches. I often wonder whether some odd items were washed ashore or left by lazy beachgoers. Either way, it's a bit disturbing that these bizarre items are left on a beautiful beach.

Patch recently published a story about the latest report from Clean Ocean Action that listed some of the crazy things their people found during a recent beach sweep, which is designed to clean the beaches and also study why and what is left on beaches here at the Jersey Shore.

According to Patch, "According to the report, more than 6,800 volunteers combed 83 sites in 2024, removing 276,899 pieces of trash from Garden State beaches. Clean Ocean Action launched the Beach Sweeps program in 1985 as a way to rid beaches of unsightly and harmful debris. Since the group's inception, volunteers have removed more than 8 million pieces of trash."
