Things can get lonely when we're all staying at home and practicing social distancing, but the Toms River Police Department is looking to help fight those feelings.

In a press release, the Toms River Police Department announced they are starting a Letters and Artwork to seniors campaign, along with the Toms River Senior Center and the Ocean County Board of Social Services. They are asking for people to "write letters of encouragement and hope" to combat any feelings of loneliness.

The Toms River Department requests that all artwork and letters be emailed to media@trpolice.org before April 15th. You can find more information about the campaign in the Toms River Police Department's flyer above.

It only takes a few minutes to make something that will brighten someone else's day.
