Wow! It’s The Best Pumpkin Patch in New Jersey Among Best in America
Well, this is the perfect time to discuss pumpkins because we are just a few weeks away from Halloween and of course, that's a perfect "pumpkin" holiday. Autumn is also a very popular "pumpkin" time with everything "pumpkin spice". According to Beach Body Online "most of the 1.5 billion pounds grown each year are sold during October." In addition, "The largest pumpkin ever grown weighed 1,140 pounds." Now that's a lot of pie!

Reader's Digest recently published an article that looked at the best pumpkin patches in America. "Buying a pumpkin from the grocery store isn’t nearly as much fun as a visit to a local pumpkin patch on a crisp Autumn day during the fall season. At the best pumpkin patches in the country, you can pose for postcard-perfect photo ops, make your way through corn mazes, pet animals, and more, and of course pick the perfect pumpkin during this quintessential fall activity. After you bring it home, it’s time to check out these clever pumpkin carving templates and these no-carve pumpkin decorating ideas to help you create the perfect jack-o-lantern."
I enjoy a day at the pumpkin patch. We always try to get out to our local pumpkin patches during fall, it's a great day out. In fact, my wife, April, has grown her own pumpkins at home the last few years which is exciting to see right before your eyes.
As for New Jersey, our best "pumpkin patch" according to Reader's Digest is located in Morris County. Alstede Farms in Chester was the pick, no pun intended, for our best pumpkin patch. "Alestede Farms in Chester is a first-generation family farm dedicated to sustainability and eco-friendly habits. They grow hundreds of varieties of fresh produce, so you know your family is getting quality pumpkins in addition to amazing activities like giant mazes, animals, and hayrides."
I have not visited Alstede Farm, but after doing this article I am putting it on my list of places to go this autumn. Get your pumpkin here in Jersey and enjoy your Halloween.
