With Multiple Shore Locations A.C. Moore Is Going Out Of Business

In something of a surprise announcement, only hours ago, the parent company of A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts announced that they will be ceasing retail operations.

According to reports, a Monday, November 25th announcement by parent company Nicole Crafts, based right here in New Jersey, in Moorestown, said that the company will permanently close an unspecified number of their A.C. Moore stores, while a handful will be taken over by Michaels.

The press release leaves a little bit open to interpretation, saying:

Plans for closing specific A.C. Moore locations will be shared in the upcoming weeks on our website. While we will stop accepting further online orders as of today, we will ship any previously placed orders in the ordinary course.

There are a number of A.C. Moore locations across the Jersey Shore, with stores in Brick, Wall, Ocean Township, and Manalapan.

It's also worth noting that there are a number of Michaels locations around the Shore, including a new store in Brick.
