This powerful storm began right after Christmas and dropped an extraordinary amount of snow across the state. In Long Branch, Monmouth County, weather observers measured about 29.7 inches of snow in 24 hours.

Snow and/or a wintry mix (Snow and Sleet) will begin Friday afternoon into the evening, and travel impacts could last through Saturday morning. Up to 8 inches possible in some areas.
