It's the big debate of the summer when we walk up to the ice cream counter.

It's not the sprinkles or the swirl. Chocolate, Vanilla, or Butter Pecan, this time it's not about the flavor you're choosing when you walk into your favorite ice cream shop.

Recently I took a poll asking do you choose a cone or a cup for your ice cream. There were so many responses and it was very, very close. I know when my family and I walk up to the ice cream window, unless someone is getting a delicious hot fudge sundae, we all get cones.

The pure messiness of ice cream running down the little hands of our children is one of the best memories of ice cream for me. I know yuck, many moms and dads say I'm crazy, but that was always a great memory for me.

Even on a hot day, for me when I'm eating a cone, I can't lick fast enough. It's always running down my hands and it's sticky but it's so worth it. I always choose the soft ice cream, so that's probably why it melts so much easier than if I'd eat the hard ice cream.

Is it cones or cups for Ocean County - The WINNER...I'm so surprised, cups are the WINNER. I'm not sure why that surprises me, but it does. I just think, while strolling the boards, there is nothing better than that cone of ice cream.

Enjoy your CUPS or cones of ice cream this summer.
