ELIZABETH — The Union County Prosecutor's Office has released video of a man they say is a suspect in a murder in the city.

The man, seen wearing a vintage University of North Carolina hockey jersey, is wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Michael Eargle.

Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park said police were called to a report of shots fired on the 1800 block of Lafayette Street on the afternoon of April 11. Eargle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Park said the investigation is ongoing. She asked anyone with information about the case to contact Sgt. Jose Vendas of the Homicide Task Force at 908-358-3048 or Det. Rudolfo Correia at 908-418-5800.

A reward of up to $10,000 is also being offered by the Union county Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
