What Do You Mean I Can’t Wear White?
This has been an amazing week and the best example of what local summer can be. Sitting on the beach this week with full sunshine, a nice breeze and perfect temperatures was a real treat. I think it’s the first time I’ve been on the beach on a weekday after Labor Day in about 40 years and I hope we get a few more of those in the next couple of weeks. However while summer coming to an end is a bit of a bummer there is another reason why I don’t fully embrace the change of seasons and that has to do with clothes.
I really like my summer wardrobe and with the exception of a wedding and viewing have not put on long pants since May. I have so many pairs of shorts and shirts that I didn’t even get to wear many of them over the past three months. As always the priority was cool, casual and light clothing and shoes without socks.
Now I’m not ready to put everything away because I really don’t understand where it says we can’t continue to wear white, pink, yellow and light blue? Should I be worried that the fashion police are going to stop me because I’m not wearing brown, orange, grey, black or purple? No thank you!
So I will continue to wear my summer clothes until my wife says I can’t any longer which will probably be very soon. She rules the day when it comes to fashion…and just about everything else.
