Wendy’s to Close140 Locations, Will New Jersey’s Close

This is a popular fast-food restaurant for all. There are several locations in Ocean and Monmouth Counties. Lately, so many of our favorites have been closing from restaurants, supermarkets, and more. It's nuts.

How many Wendy's will close before the end of 2024?

A whopping 140 restaurants in the next couple of months, according to cnn.com.

I guess there's some light at the end of the tunnel, Wendy's will be opening more of the fast food chain later in 2025.

From CNN: The restaurants targeted to close are “outdated and located in underperforming” areas, Wendy’s CEO Kirk Tanner said on an earnings call Thursday, adding that their financial performance are “well below the system average.”

Will any of our Jersey Shore Wendy's locations be closed?

The CEO of Wendy's also said after all these closures that will take place before the end of the year, " “Overall, Wendy’s system is incredibly healthy.”

According to CNN, Wendy's is building about 250 to 300 new locations, I guess that seems "healthy" but, WOW to me that's a lot of closures. But, I guess I really don't know business. How many Wendy's are there in the United States? There are well over 6,000 Wendy's in America.
