3:50 pm Update:

SUEZ Spokeswoman Jane Kunka tells WOBM News that water is being restored to Walgreens but the road work and detour set up as a result of the main break is still in place.

"It could take up to a few hours to reopen Washington Street to vehicular traffic," Kunka said.

In the middle of the pouring rain and gusting winds, there's a water main break that is closing a section of Washington Street in Toms River on Friday morning.

There is a 12-inch water main break and Washington Street is closed between Whittier Avenue and Haines Road until further notice

"It is only the Walgreen’s that would be temporarily without water service until the repair is made," SUEZ Water Toms River Spokeswoman Jane Kunka tells WOBM News. "The event is a detour and has not affected any other establishment or residence."
