2024 is zooming by, holiday season is almost here! Tis the season to shop in New Jersey.

Major retailers shift focus to family time, closing on Thanksgiving post-Covid. Enjoy the holidays with loved ones as Target and Walmart plan fall sales.

Is 2024 flying by for you? It feels that way to me. The days are starting to get shorter and of course in stores Halloween and Christmas stuff is out already and it shows, the holiday season is coming way to fast.

The holiday season in 2020 with the Covid-19 pandemic, retailers approached the holiday shopping a little bit differently. Before 2020 all the big box stores were open on Thanksgiving Day. We were shopping way before Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day with most of their sales starting between 5 pm and 6 pm.

In 2020 it was for the safety of their employees and shoppers that everything was closed on Thanksgiving Day and it was wonderful that everyone could spend time with their families on this special day.

Ever since then, most stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day giving their employees the day to spend with family and friends.

Why is Walmart closing all New Jersey stores for one day?

A well deserved break for the employees to spend time with their family and friends for Thanksgiving Day.

Walmart stores will be closed once again on Thanksgiving Day so associates can spend the day with their families,” the company said, thanks to nwahomepage.com.

Many major retailers Target, Amazon, and Best Buy have their fall sales event happening in the next couple of weeks, you could start your holiday shopping even earlier than Thanksgiving. Others are still looking for the deals on Black Friday with big sales.

Hopefully we will hear from other retailers that will be announcing they will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
