There were some great individual performances in the air, on the ground, on defense, and on special teams in Week 6, and now it’s time to get your vote in for who had the top performance in the Shore this weekend to choose the Ocean County Sports Medicine/Shore Sports Network Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Thursday right here on ShoreSportsNetwork.com. Voting will end Wednesday at midnight.    

The winner will receive a $25 gift card to Burger 25 in Toms River.

Ocean County Sports Medicine Player of the Week nominees for Week 6 (listed in alphabetical order) 

JoJo Bivins, Sr., RB, Barnegat

Bivins ran for 202 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries, including the go-ahead touchdown on fourth-and-goal with 5:16 left in regulation, to lift the Bengals to a 27-21 win over Manchester.

 

Nick Cardone, So., QB, Freehold Township

Cardone completed 9 of 13 passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Patriots to a 39-7 win over Freehold that secured "The Duke" rivalry trophy.

 

Jake Croce, Jr., RB, Point Boro

Croce ran for 179 yards and a touchdown on eight carries in No. 3 Point Boro's 58-6 win over Monmouth Regional that clinched at least a share of the Independence Division title.

 

Daijon Cross, Sr., RB, Keyport

Cross rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries to help power the Red Raiders to a 24-6 victory over Lakewood.

 

Connor Dietz, Jr., QB, Brick Memorial

Dietz completed 14 of 16 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 129 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Mustangs to a 42-6 victory over Toms River South.

 

Tyler Douglas, Sr., QB, Ocean

Douglas had touchdown runs of 20 and 1 yards in the second half and also threw a 20-yard touchdown pass as the No. 6 Spartans defeated Brick, 27-7, to clinch at least a share of the Freedom Division title.

 

Kieran Falzon, Sr., RB, Raritan

Falzon ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns and returned a kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown to help the Rockets take down No. 8 St. John Vianney, 36-33, to snap a two-game losing streak and put a half to SJV's five-game winning streak.

 

Micah Ford, Jr., QB, Toms River North

Ford completed 5 of 7 passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 100 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries in the No. 2 Mariners' 55-0 win over Lacey.

 

Mike Frawley, Jr., WB/DB, Pinelands

Frawley caught nine passes for 105 yards and a touchdown, including the go-ahead score with under three minutes left, intercepted a pass on defense, and recovered a fumble at the 3-yard line with 1:30 left as the Wildcats clipped Jackson Liberty, 12-7, to even their record at 3-3.

 

Lamar Hicks, Sr., WR, Red Bank

Hicks caught a 56-yard touchdown pass and ran for a 24-yard touchdown in the Bucs' 35-7 win over Neptune.

 

Jhamier Howard, Sr., RB, Manasquan

Howard ran for 41 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries and caught a 57-yard touchdown pass as the Warriors won 35-14 over Holmdel.

 

Tai Mann, Sr., QB/DB, Jackson Memorial

Mann ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns, threw for 95 yards and a 2-point conversion, and intercepted a pass on defense to lead the Jaguars to a hard-fought 27-20 win over Marlboro.

 

Colin Palumbo, So., RB, Matawan

Palumbo broke out for a career-high 259 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 24 carries to lead the Huskies to a 34-16 victory over Toms River East that clinched at least a share of the Liberty Division title.

 

Earnest Reevey, Jr., QB, Long Branch

Reavey totaled 131 yards of offense with a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown to help the Green Wave rally past No. 10 Middletown North, 14-10.

 

Chris Scully, Jr., RB, Colts Neck

Scully ran for 127 yards and two touchdowns to eclipse the 1,000-yard rushing mark this season and lead the Cougars to a 21-13 win over rival Howell that clinched at least a share of the Constitution Division title.

 

Donovan Summey, Jr., RB, Middletown South

Running behind a dominant offensive line, Summey rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns in the No. 5 Eagles' 27-21 victory over No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven.

 

Lucas White, Jr., RB, Shore

White caught two passes for 70 yards and a touchdown and ran for 85 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries as the Blue Devils scored a 35-7 win over Point Beach to clinch at least a share of the Patriot Division championship.

 

Mike Zecena, Jr., RB, Southern

Zecena ran for a career-high 155 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries to power the Rams to a 27-14 win over Central to win the Boyd-Emmert rivalry trophy.
