"Heart of a Giant" is a way of showing off some of the best High School football players at the Shore.

It's not just about football. They have all been nominated by their coaches for their teamwork, character, dedication, and commitment according to the patch.com.

The 2018 USA Football "Heart of a Giant Award" is presented by Hospital for Special Surgery and the New York Giants. Students are chosen from the tri-state area and we have some super Jersey Shore kids that deserve this award.

There are several weeks of voting and each week has the best of the best chosen by their coaches.

Our local "Heart of a Giant Award" nominees are:

Gerard Uso

Running Back

Howell High School

Fabriola Andre

Defensive Back

Toms River East High School

John Beveridge

Offensive Line

Brick High School

There are a couple more weeks to go, maybe more Shore athletes will be nominated!

CLICK HERE to vote for our "Heart of a Giant Award" nominees.

A grand prize winner will be based on votes and their video submissions and the winner will be honored during a New York Giants Home Game. Six finalists will receive $1,500 for their school's football team and the winner's school will get an additional $3,500.

This is so cool, congratulations for being AWESOME on the football field and off!
