A woman and two children have been taken to the hospital after being struck by a car on Main Street in Keyport.

The driver of the vehicle and their passenger, a minor, have also been taken to the hospital after the collision Tuesday afternoon around 3:12 pm.

It's not yet known what led to the vehicle colliding with the pedestrians or who had the right of way at the time of the accident.

The Monmouth County Prosectuor's Office, along with the Keyport Police Department and Monmouth County SCART Team (Serious Crash Analysis Response Team) are investigating the motor vehicle collision.

The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office says more details will be released as they become available.
