Two Toms River men caught mid-vehicle burglary by Brick Police
Two Toms River men are facing a plethora of charges after allegedly committing multiple motor vehicle burglaries, in the middle of the night, in Brick Township.
Brick Police said that they received a call around 2:30 am on Tuesday morning and dispatched officers to the Collins Court area in Green Briar I for a motor vehicle burglary in progress.
On top of that, the caller told police that there were two unknown individuals trying to burglarize motor vehicles in the neighborhood and both were reportedly spotted entering vehicles as well.
As a police officer arrived on scene, he saw a vehicle occupied by two men who fit the description of the suspects provided by dispatch.
That vehicle then pulled over and the men inside were identified as Ryan Payesko, 27, Toms River and Nicolas Massimi, 28, Toms River, both of whom were arrested following the stop and investigation.
Brick Police said it is suspected that Payesko and Massimi entered into as many as 20 vehicles.
The investigation into their alleged activity is ongoing.
Payesko is charged with Theft of Moveable Property; Burglary; Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance Paraphernalia; Possession of Hypodermic Needles; Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin) and Possession of Certain Weapons (Brass Knuckles) and was also issued traffic summons for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
Massimi is charged with Theft of Moveable Property, Burglary, Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance Paraphernalia, Possession of Hypodermic Needles, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin).
Both men have been lodged in the Ocean County jail.
