I love New Jersey, I love working, living and playing here.

We're known for our beautiful beaches, boardwalks, beautiful lakes and so much more.

We have the best people living in the Garden State. But, dirty? Dirty cities.

It's not just the litter everywhere, and usually these dirtier cities have litter everywhere, but it's the combination of environment and building problems.

What two New Jersey cities are on the top ten dirtiest in America?

You might not be surprised, but maybe surprising Trenton and Newark. Newark came in at number four on the list. Trenton came in at number seven.

San Bernardino, CA came in at number one for the dirtiest city in the U.S.

From lawnstarter: "This year, we expanded the scope of our study to encompass over 300 of the biggest U.S. cities based on 4 categories. More specifically, we considered air pollution, water quality, waste management, and resident dissatisfaction levels in each city, among 21 total metrics."

When I drive through one of these cities in New Jersey, and there are some others that maybe could make the top ten, it's the rundown buildings that always make a town or city look dirtier than they are.
