Traveling for Thanksgiving? Google Trends Says Leave Early

Thanksgiving is almost here, and so is one of the busiest times of the year to travel.

Google Trends has released popular searches about Thanksgiving Travel that could help us all this holiday.

I filtered the searches for Philadelphia and New York since those were the options closest to the Jersey Shore. There wasn't a huge difference between the two.

If you're getting on the road this Thanksgiving, the most ideal time to do so in both cities is around 6 am. It appears traffic will start to build up around 9 am - 11 am, and peaking around noon. When dinner is finished, the best time to head back home looks to be around 5 pm, as things seem to get worse around 7 and 8 pm.
