TR Police seek public’s help identifying theft suspect
Toms River Police seek the public's help identifying a man who entered an unoccupied vehicle in a Shop Rite parking lot before stealing merchandise from the store on Thursday morning.
The suspect allegedly stole a student's backpack containing books and his drum sticks. The man then entered the store and placed 13 products in a shopping cart and left without paying for the merchandise. The cart was pushing to a waiting blue GMC Envoy van registered to a Manchester, NJ address.
The police have not yet tracked down the suspect or the operator of the vehicle. Officer Rebecca Sayegh took the initial investigation report and secured a copy of the surveillance images.
