Toms River woman with Dementia reported missing

Monday August 17 Update: The Ocean County Sheriff's Office has announced the woman has been found safe.

A Toms River woman with Dementia has been reported missing and police are hoping you can help provide information that will bring her back home.

The 80-year old woman, identified as Marilyn Balzer by the Ocean County Sheriff's Office, left on foot this morning from her home in the Lake Ridge section of town.

Toms River Police said she is 5’ 7”, approximately 120-lbs, with blue eyes and grey hair.

She was last seen wearing blue pants sneakers and white jacket and may have walked north on Route 9.

Police are currently seeking any businesses along Route 9 that may have video of her.
