Toms River Woman Convicted of Mortgage Fraud
A Toms River woman is one of three people found guilty in federal court in Camden today in a $15 million mortgage fraud scheme.
Prosecutors say Nancy Wolf-Fels, 57, Dwayne Onque, 46, of Belleville, and Mashon Onque, 43, of East Orange used fake documents and "straw buyers" to make illegal profits on overbuilt condos.
Each was convicted of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Dwayne Onque was also convicted of one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
